16 Teams, One Weekend, All the Stars

With the Leapmotor Pokal Grand Opening, the new German Cup season officially gets underway. All 16 teams will compete over one weekend in a single arena for a place in the Liebherr Pokal Final4 2028.

Taking part are all teams from the TTBL, as well as the four teams that qualified through the preliminary cup round, which was contested among clubs from the 2nd Bundesliga and the top teams from the 3rd Bundesliga. Fans can therefore look forward to the full strength of German table tennis – all teams, all stars, all in one weekend.

Saturday is all about the Round of 16. With four tables in action simultaneously, spectators can enjoy top-level table tennis non-stop across two sessions. Thrilling knockout matches, spectacular rallies and plenty of excitement will create a true event atmosphere from the first match to the last.

The quarter-finals will follow on Sunday. Once again split into two sessions, the remaining teams will battle it out across two tables for the final places at the Liebherr Pokal Final4. Numerous TTBL stars will be in action live in Nuremberg, all determined to take the first important step towards the title.

The second edition of the Leapmotor Pokal Grand Opening will therefore offer a unique experience for fans: short distances, maximum excitement and the rare opportunity to see all teams and all the stars in one place. Two days of top-class sport, emotion and an unforgettable table tennis atmosphere await spectators.
